Jour de Fete (Tati)

Circa early 1960's reissue of the 1948 poster promoting the classic Tati film 'Jour de Fete' with artwork by  Rene Peron 

Our poster shows François the affable and clumsy mailman from the film, who's adored by all but taken seriously by none.  With his delivery bicycle in hand, he stops to focus on the traveling fair that has come to town. A colourful and happy poster featuring the French tri-colours White (for the King) and Red and Blue (for the City of Paris)
