Using iconic images from the travel destination, Australian-born poster artist Harry Rogers (who designed the Qantas logo-font in the mid 1960's) designed a variety of poster series from the 1950s through to the 1970s. These posters promoted Qantas as Australia's premier international airline. Rogers created a different 'look' for each series by devising different techniques such as cut paper and collage, geometric shapes and lively watercolor illustrations.
In this little piece of history we see a Canadian "Mountie" promoting travel to Canada in association with BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation 1940 - 1974) and TEAL (Tasman Empire Airways Limited, the former name of Air New Zealand. (1940-1965)).
