Rayon Des Soieries

If you love Art Deco this this stunning French theatrical piece is for you. It was designed by Maurice Dufrène for the Théâtre National de l'Opéra-Comique's one act operetta "Rayon Des Soieries" (for the'opéra bouffe') which was set in the silk department of a department store.

The lithograph embraces the classic Art Deco style of a sleek and elongated figure choosing the fabric for her evening gown. Her out-stretched right arm holds her fabric choices. Nothing exudes Art Deco quite like this poster with the clean lines, simplified forms, and overall simplicity and symmetry of the period.
