Soaring over a map of Asia (a trademark of Boucher's Air France posters), with highlights of the Taj Mahal, pagodas and the majestic snow-capped peak of Mt Everest, is the mythical phoenix with it's brilliant scarlet and gold plumage.  Set on a stunning red background, this poster encapsulates the quintessential Asia, inviting its viewer to venture into the mysteries of the Orient and the Far East.

Combining an Art Deco influence with traditional painting styles, Boucher's unique style displays his fascination with surrealism and detail.  He is regarded by collectors as a leader in the mid-century style, with his Air France posters considered among the best in the genre.
