"Cin Cin" the toast of Italy and the world . For anyone who was exposed to Cinzano's fabulous advertising campaigns of the 1950's to 1980's, Cinzano, is the name that instinctively rolls off the tongue following "Cin Cin"
Leonetto Cappiello was the first to use a zebra in his artwork for Cinzano. He re-visited this theme in 1930 using not only the original red and white but also a blue and white one.
In 1951 Jean Colin cleverly re-mastered the idea of the zebra using, ironically, purple, a combination of red and blue. "Cin Cin" Cinzano seems to be what the purple zebra also says as he prepares to sip the famous aperitif.
This is one of our favourite posters, we love it so much we named our gallery in honour of it!
