Re-created in 1916 in the heart of the great war, Foire de Lyon's origins date back to the Middle Ages where it was a place of commerce, meetings and celebrations. Of course at its 1916 re-opening strains of La Marseillaise were heard as an acknowledgement of the patriotic French spirit of the period. A sample market where only manufacturers can exhibit, it highlights French innovations.
This stunning poster advertises the 1977 event which saw the creation of the IT-Office section. This section grew from 8 exhibitors in 1977 to an amazing 182 in 1980.
