France (Rhone-Alpes)

Renowned for being home to some of the world's best winter resorts, the Rhone Alpes region is just as beautiful during summer as it is in winter.  Commissioned to promote it's many attractions, artist Georges Mathieu uses abstract impressionism to lead the viewer from the blue skies, with a hint of its famous snowy peaks, to billowing sails on blue water giving this poster a sense of freedom that sailing in the Rhone Alpes can bring.
