Illiers-Combray

In this fascinating piece, Auric has represented Proust and The Maison de Tante Léonie and its gardens in Illiers-Combray.  The Maison is also known as the Musée Marcel Proust who set his novel,  In Search of Lost Time, in the fictional town of Combray.  Proust stayed with his aunt in his youth when his family visited and the house and its gardens are models for asimilar house and gardens in Proust's novel.
