La Mouette

Dressed in a green dress which imitates the colour of her drink, this dancer appears to be oblivious of the seagull (La Mouette) that soars over her as she pours her bottle of La Mouett over the waves.  Her carefree pose, combined with vivid shades of yellow, green, and blue, capture the ebullience and sophistication of French advertising design from the 1920's.  The image advertisies an anise-flavored apéritif called La Mouette (The Seagull).
