Founded in January 1863, the weekly illustrated paper 'La Vie Parisienne' celebrated fashion, theatre, music, travel and topical events. Contributors often wrote and illustrated under pseudonyms, detailing the Parisienne lady; the vixen, the siren, the exhibitionist, the temptress. The often risqué illustrations from publications such as 'La Vie Parisienne' became popular amongst allied troops during WWI, widening their audience to the US and UK. Art Deco in style La Vie Parisienne prints are as popular today as ever.
