A little piece of history... pictured here is the Sydney Harbour Bridge before the iconic Sydney Opera House, the AMP building, the Overseas Passenger Terminal and the Cahill Expressway were built.
- The AMP building, the tallest building in Australia at the time, was opened on 23 November 1962 by Prime Minister Robert Menzies.
- On 2 March 1959, a crowd gathered under umbrellas, in the rain, to watch the ceremony that marked the start of construction of the Sydney Opera House.
- The Cahill expressway, the overhead roadway across Circular Quay, was opened on 24 March 1958
- The new passenger (cruise) terminal was constructed in 1958
- Australian National Airways (ANA) was Australia's predominant aerial carrier from the mid-1930s to the early 1950s.
Taking this information into consideration we believe that this poster is from circa1950.
