Artist Nigel Owen drew inspiration for the scene that he used in this United poster on a stretch of road along his drive from London to his home in Falmouth, where he would see  hot-air balloons dotting the sky, 

This poster is part of a set of United Äirlines travel posters that we have available. They are a wonderful piece of aviation and advertising history as posters such as these hung on the walls of travel agencies, as well as UAL offices worldwide.
